Last time I built my business online I did it with no
help. I take that back I had read “the Internet
Marketing Center’s Insider secrets”. It is what exposed
me to the long sales letter style of marketing….and it
did change my life.

…I rolled up my sleeve and got to work

…I did pretty well - had three websites that
replaced my income within a few months. Everything
was running smoothly but then one day I started to
not feel stable. I felt what I had created was something
I had no control over. A “BLACK BOX”

A term I later learned from Eben Pagan.

A BLACK BOX is a thing you don’t have control of
like a software program that only one person could
work on and fix. We’ll that is what I had done. It felt like
everyday I couldn’t get a hold of my programmer
who was overseas by the way. This would freak me out. Eventually I
couldn’t take it and I took a side JOB so I could feel more secure.

What happened is that the JOB now took up so much of
my time now that my sites got hardly any love…and sure enough
they slowly left the search engines - competitors moved above
me..and my online business slowly shrank to nothing. A business
that before I took the JOB was at 10k a month was now down to
less than 1k a month (with expenses in all). And, before that
I had been spending all my money on seminars and products
to have another revenue stream. I spent more that 40k on
products, seminars, and what not…..and what happened…

I was now a victim of analysis paralysis and information overload.
I was now feeling like I was running backward like a chicken
with his head cut off. It felt like all I could do was read
emails and buy products.

Then one day I go into the office and I have no more JOB. The
investors just decided to bail on our project…..no two week notice,
no severance package  …no nothing……this was my security right.

Well that was in June….now I’m kicking butt to bring back my
old business back..and I’ve decided to take on a couch/mentor.

One night I randomly ran into a site by a marketer by the name
of Alex Jeffreys and he was launching a coaching program.

Make a long story short - I loved Alex’s enthusiasm and I loved
the way he did his marketing. So I joined his coaching and it has
been awesome….he is a GREAT coach!! I’m very happy I got into
his program.

I have a plan for 2009 and Alex Jeffreys is a big part of that plan.

I will reveil the rest of my plan in a future upcoming post
